Labour migration and remittances in the region of Commonwealth of Independent States

Diversity of economic development of the CIS countries is a major factor of labour migration within the region. The aim of my Bachelor thesis is to map the situation in the CIS region through the analysis of migration trends and remittance flows. At the same time it tries to answer the question whether migration is an appropriate tool for solving the demographic situation in the region. In connection with remittances, also it also identifies the impact of crisis on their development. The first chapter introduces the Commonwealth of Independent States, with an emphasis on socio-economic and demographic situation. The second chapter is focused on the impact of migration on the demographic situation and the third deals with impact of the crisis on development of remittances.

Analysis of Pension System in Slovakia

1. In the theoretical part: theoretical determination of retirement (pension) systems, determination of the pillared system in Slovak retirement sphere. 2. In the practical part: analysis of demographic situation, and resulting solutions for the innitiated Slovak pension reform, analysis and evaluation, in main features, of Slovak pension reform that was begun in the past. 3. Slovak pension reform evaluation with determination of its possible application for the Czech republic.
